Beirut is not just a city, but a message with many inherent layers.

Inspired by the nocturnal plotting that once occurred in the no longer existing seaside cafe. The creative writing workshop invited participants to take part in the scheming of Beirut’s current urban situation, and revitalize the spirit of La Dolce Vita.

Seven drinks were presented to the participant upon entering the workshop. Each drink was unique in its vessel and content that represented the seven layers of Beirut. 

A series of projected images and animated sequences encouraged participants to unlock their imagination in a transformative environment. A visceral journey where impressions, reactions and emotions were expressed in the form of writing.
